The World on Paper

"[Individuals who break through by inventing a new paradigm are] almost always...either very young or very new to the field whose paradigm they change...These are the [men and women] who, being little committed to prior practice to the traditional rules of normal science, are particularly likely to see that those rules no longer define a playable game and to conceive another set that can replace them." - Thomas S Kuhn, The Structure of Scientific Revolution (1962)

Sydney Harbour Bridge

The Sydney Harbour Bridge, now heritage-listed, celebrates its 75th Anniversary.

Whenever I get the chance to visit Sydney, I always get goose-bumps when I see the bridge through the airplane window. The 'Coathanger' Bridge in Sydney's Darling Harbour never fails to amaze me. A design and engineering marvel!

I took the photos above in July 2006.

Amazing photos are available in Halan's flickr album. Read up on some interesting facts about the Bridge in the culture and recreation webpage.
